I am the former Head of Matheson’s London Office and a partner in the Commercial Litigation and Dispute Resolution Group.
I have over 30 years’ experience in all aspects of insurance litigation and dispute resolution with particular expertise in advising financial institutions and corporate clients in complex, multi-party, multi-jurisdictional commercial disputes. I have been involved in some of the most significant commercial litigation to come before the Irish courts in the last 10 years and I was recently named ‘Lawyer of the Year 2019’ for Ireland at the Benchmark Litigation Europe Awards.
Major cases include the funds litigation arising from the Bernard Madoff fraud, the aviation insurance litigation following the outbreak of war in Ukraine and the business interruption litigation arising from the Covid pandemic .
I enjoy the challenge of complex novel disputes and leading large teams . Litigation strategy is a forte. I am a former chair of the Insurance Committee for the International Bar Association, bringing together leaders in the insurance industry to address the challenges in the industry globally.
