On November 12th, Dublin Chamber began as members of the ECOPATH project. This project is an Erasmus plus project, which is co-funded by the EU and has six international partners including Dublin Chamber. The project ECOPATH highlights the potential of the circular economy to support a transition towards ESG. Employees in small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) will be provided with tools to better understand how they can improve their companies’ environmental impact through circular practices. It aims to:
1) support SMEs to be better prepared to improve their environmental impact and understand the growing demands for this.
2) improve the knowledge and skills of current and future SME professionals/adult learners who wish to work within sustainability and management to better place them in the labour market.
3) build the capacity of adult educators/trainers to integrate better knowledge related to the Circular Economy, ESG frameworks, and hands-on methodologies in Adult Education learning opportunities
The project will run for two year with first outputs expected in 2025. We will be running an Open House Event in January 2025 where we would like to speak to SMEs to gather insights from them regarding their main needs, challenges, and knowledge gaps in implementing CE practices to meet ESG reporting demands. This needs assessment will help the project better understand what resources and tools are essential for SMEs.
