The European Commission this week officially set up the European Board on Agriculture and Food (EBAF), one of the recommendations of the final report of the Strategic Dialogue on the Future of Agriculture. A call for applications was published this week to form the Board's membership. It will be composed of a maximum of 30 member organisations representing three categories of stakeholders: the farming community, other actors of the food supply chain, and civil society including in areas such as environment and climate, animal welfare or consumer issues. The closing date to apply is 8 January 2025.
