The EU Artificial Intelligence Act introduced rules for the safe and responsible use of AI. The majority of organisations, particularly SMEs, will experience minimal impact due to the lower rick nature of their AI systems. However, from 2nd February 2025, all organisations using AI should enhance AI literacy among staff.

The Department of Enterprise, Trade and Employment has worked with CeADAR, Ireland’s Centre for AI to develop a simple online course. This course is fully funded; it is supported by the European Innovation Hub for AI programme, funded by Enterprise Ireland and the European Commission.
