Decarbonisation – Strategic Targets for Dublin's Future

Addressing climate change is vital for Dublin to remain a competitive business hub. The Dublin Agenda Series leads this transformative discussion, analysing strategic government and business frameworks for businesses to transition to a low-carbon economy.

Dublin's commitment to sustainability enhances its attractiveness to businesses and investors, drives innovation, reduces costs, and aligns with global trends. Ultimately, a sustainable Dublin is better positioned to thrive economically, attract top talent, and ensure long-term prosperity for all residents and businesses.

Our expert panel-led discussion will cover in particular:

  • Energy Security & Efficiency: Optimising energy consumption across sectors.
  • Sustainable Transportation: Future-proofing public transport and infrastructure.

Energy Security and Efficiency
The energy landscape is undergoing structural change. For Dublin to remain competitive, businesses must adapt to a future where energy resilience is a core operational concern. This session will explore how strategic investment in energy efficiency, supported by data, technology, and policy alignment, can reduce exposure to volatility while supporting national and EU climate objectives.

Sustainable Transport and Urban Mobility
Our panel will provide insight into the long-term planning and investment required to support a low-emission, high-capacity transport system. The discussion will consider how infrastructure decisions today will shape the city’s economic geography, workforce mobility, and environmental performance for decades to come. The role of public-private collaboration in delivering scalable, sustainable solutions will be a key theme.

Why Attend

This is not a technical discussion—it is a strategic one. The decisions made now will shape Dublin’s competitiveness, liveability, and economic resilience for the next generation. For senior leaders, this event offers a rare opportunity to engage directly with the infrastructure and strategic thinking that will define the city’s future operating environment.
