Dublin Chamber are delighted to partner with Aer Lingus on this event as part of our Future Trends Series 

Our Future Trends Series is an innovation series which explores the key trends set to shape the business landscape in the coming years due to ongoing technological advancements, shifts in economic conditions, changes in consumer behaviour, evolving workplace trends and global events.  

In this session, we will focus on Artificial Intelligence. We are delighted to welcome Emma Redmond, Associate General Counsel and Head of OpenAI Ireland, and Phil Watson Head of Digital Natives EMEA, Open AI who will share their perspectives on the future of AI in business. They will discuss how companies can effectively adopt AI, the emerging trends and challenges—including data privacy—and the opportunities these developments present  

This session will then be followed by a panel discussion where Emma and Phil will be joined by Dave O’Donovan, Chief Digital & Transformation Officer, Aer Lingus, to further explore these insights.

Emma Redmond
, Associate General Counsel & Head of OpenAI, Ireland
 

Emma is Associate General Counsel and Head of OpenAI Ireland, which she joined in 2023. Emma has worked with tech innovators for over 15 years, having held senior positions at Stripe, Ancestry. LinkedIn and Conversant. She is a member of the Government of Ireland’s AI Advisory Council and is adjunct professor at UCD Sutherland School of Law.

Phil Watson, Head of Digitial Natives EMEA, OpenAI 

Phil Watson is Head of Digital Natives EMEA for OpenAI, based at the company's EU headquarters in Dublin. Phil and his team work with some of the most innovative enterprises in EMEA to maximise and deploy OpenAI products and solutions across their business. He has over 15 years experience in tech innovation, having held senior positions at Evervault, Slack and LinkedIn.
 

Dave O’Donovan, Chief Digital and Transformation Officer, Aer Lingus 

Dave O’Donovan is accountable for Technology and Business Transformation agenda at Aer Lingus. Dave joined Aer Lingus in 2017 as Director of Digital and Mobile, focusing on improving the airline’s digital channels and customer experience. In 2019, he was appointed Chief Digital and Information Officer and became a member of the Executive Management Committee. In 2023, his role was expanded to include transformation, reflecting the growing importance of change and innovation at Aer Lingus.
