Roundtable Discussion on Innovation Supports for Business

Event Details

Dublin Chamber will be meeting with the Department of Enterprise, Tourism and Employment to discuss innovation supports for businesses ahead of Budget 2027.

The Government’s R&D and Innovation Compass reaffirms the central role of the R&D tax credit, while setting out a pathway for further work on broader innovation supports for firms. As this work progresses, business perspectives must continue to inform the next phase of policy development.

To inform our engagement with the department, we would like to invite you to an online roundtable discussion at 12 pm on Friday, 8th May. The session will last approximately 60 minutes and will centre on the contributions of participants.

Each attendee will be asked to briefly speak on the following questions:

  • What does innovation mean for your business in practice, and can you give examples of activities your business undertakes that fall outside the R&D tax credit?
  • What are the main barriers your business faces when investing in innovation, and which types of activity (e.g. digital transformation, sustainability, commercialisation) are currently least supported?

  • What specific Government measures would most effectively increase your investment in innovation?
