The Dublin Agenda - Shaping Dublin's Future

Dublin Chamber is shaping the city's future through the Dublin Agenda series, addressing key megatrends affecting global economies, societies, and cultures. As a small, globally connected city, Dublin must navigate these changes to maintain its competitive edge and ensure long-term prosperity.

Recognising these trends will help Dublin adapt and thrive as a dynamic business eco-system in a rapidly evolving global landscape. Known for its strategic initiatives and as the only English-speaking EU capital, Dublin serves as a gateway to a market of over 500 million people, attracting industries like tech and financial services.

The Dublin Agenda series business community must work together to maintain this edge.

Competing in a Connected World: Dublin’s Digital Future

Digitalisation has reshaped how economies function, how businesses compete, and how cities grow. For Dublin, the challenge is to harness technological change in a way that strengthens our position as a leading European capital for business and innovation.

The Dublin Agenda will explore how digitalisation is influencing Irish megatrends and shaping the future of Dublin’s business ecosystem. The pace of change presents both opportunities and risks for companies operating in and from Dublin.

At this event. our expert panel will discuss key themes including:
• Artificial Intelligence and Automation: What the adoption of new technologies means for productivity, competitiveness, and workforce planning.
• Data and Cybersecurity: The strategic importance of trust, resilience, and compliance in an era of rising digital risk.
• Smart Infrastructure and City Planning: How digital technologies are reshaping transport, housing, and public services, and what this means for businesses and communities.
• Skills and Talent: The demand for new digital skills and how Ireland can position its workforce for long-term success.

Why Attend

This is a conversation about strategy, not technology. This event will bring together senior leaders to hear perspectives on how digitalisation is reshaping Dublin’s economic environment and what it means for decision-making in the years ahead. By understanding these trends, the Dublin business community can position itself to thrive in a competitive and future-focused market.
