Energy and Sustainability: Government Schemes and Resources
This month, the Department of Enterprise, Trade and Employment outlined a range of supports available to retailers as they face the challenge of meeting sustainability targets. These supports, both financial and non-financial, can assist Irish retailers in maximising their use of current schemes and legislation.
Supports encompass schemes offered by Revenue, Local Enterprise Offices (LEOs) and the Sustainability Energy Authority of Ireland (SEAI). Within these schemes is Green for Business, which is only open to enterprises with up to 50 employees which allows SMEs to avail of a two-day mentorship including a sustainability audit and action plan for future sustainability planning.
