As part of Ireland’s National Recovery and Resilience Plan funded by the European Union, the Green Transition Fund supports decarbonisation of Irish enterprise. The grant is designed to support companies across various aspects of their decarbonisation journey, from initial planning and capability building to investment, research, and innovation.
The fund is comprised of two separate streams:
- The Climate Planning Fund for Business
This stream supports companies in developing comprehensive plans for reducing their carbon footprint and transitioning to sustainable practices. It assists companies in identifying areas where emissions can be reduced and devising strategies to achieve these goals.
- The Enterprise Emissions Reduction Investment Fund
This stream provides financial support to companies for implementing emission reduction initiatives. It helps companies make investments in technologies, processes, and infrastructure that will enable them to lower their carbon emissions.
