Dublin Chamber will soon release the results of the Q1 2024 Business Outlook Survey. Initial findings reveal the escalating concern among Dublin businesses regarding operational costs. The report’s expectation index highlights that almost three-in-four businesses anticipate an increase in operating costs within the next quarter.
The Increased Cost of Business Grant Scheme (ICOB), a new fund introduced in Budget 2024 to the amount of €257m, may provide relief to businesses grappling with this issue. The ICOB will be distributed to eligible businesses as a one-off grant payment to assist them in addressing rising costs. Local Authorities, funded through the Department of Enterprise, Trade and Employment, will manage the rollout of the grant for qualifying businesses.
Further information regarding eligibility and the value of the grant can be accessed by visiting your Local Authority website.
