SOLVIT - Solutions to Problems with Your EU Rights
Launched in 2002 by the European Commission, SOLVIT is a dynamic network dedicated to swiftly resolving issues faced by EU citizens and businesses when dealing with public administrations across Member States.
Covering concerns like Social Security, Visa, Residency, Professional Qualifications, and Taxation, SOLVIT focuses on cases where Internal Market Rights are denied due to misapplication of Internal Market law.
With centres in every EU country and partners in Iceland, Liechtenstein, and Norway, SOLVIT, including the Irish SOLVIT Centre, housed within the Department of Enterprise, Trade, and Employment, ensures quick engagement with relevant authorities to resolve issues.
Operating informally, SOLVIT commits to resolving cases within ten weeks while preserving stakeholders' rights to pursue legal action if needed. It's important to note that SOLVIT doesn't address cases under legal proceedings or purely national law matters.
SOLVIT streamlines dispute resolution, fostering a stronger, more cohesive European community. For more information please see here.
If you have any issues, EEN representatives are happy to connect you with the correct representatives.
