The Nancy Ward Circular Economy - Dublin City Social Enterprise Award (DCSEA) is a new special category award, as part of the Dublin City Social Enterprise Awards, that is specifically focused on supporting circular economy development with social enterprises. Sponsored by The Entrepreneurs Academy, this award pays homage to Nancy, a beloved colleague and friend, who sadly passed away in April 2023.

Nancy was a natural-born social entrepreneur, renowned for founding a circular fashion social enterprise and advocating passionately for entrepreneur education. With an extensive background including roles at The Irish Heart Foundation and The American Cancer Society, Nancy was revered as a fundraising expert and an exceptional educator.

The Nancy Ward Circular Economy Award is a testament to Nancy's commitment to nurturing social enterprise development. Annually, The Entrepreneurs Academy will provide the recipient with financial support of €5,000 and a comprehensive mentoring package delivered by our team of experts in entrepreneurship, leadership, and enterprise strategic growth.
