Eoghan Quigley, Dublin Chamber President delivers remarks at Dublin Chamber AGM Dinner.
On the evening of Wednesday 26th of February, over 500 business representatives will gather at Dublin Chamber’s 2025 AGM Dinner, sponsored by EY, where Dublin Chamber President, Eoghan Quigley, will call on Government to deliver on the bold and ambitious vision for Dublin’s future.
In his keynote address on the night, Quigley will outline the challenges facing Dublin in terms of capacity and the urgent need for Government to finally deliver long awaited projects.
"Businesses are tired with endless roadblocks, revisions and reviews and are eager to see these projects move from plans on paper to shovels in the ground at long last. Particularly in public transport infrastructure projects such as Metro, DART+ and Busconnects".
Quigley will also call for an increase in housing capacity in Dublin by allocating at least 30,000 homes in the Greater Dublin Area each year. He will also stress the urgency of commencing and completing critical projects, such as the Eastern and Midlands Water Supply Project and Dublin Drainage Scheme, as well as Eirgrid’s Powering Up Dublin, within the government’s term.
While acknowledging these challenges, Quigley will also celebrate Dublin's strengths - highlighting its economic vibrancy and competitive advantages in attracting FDI. He will also highlight the need to invest in our indigenous businesses and to create a vibrant ecosystem for Founders and Entrepreneurs.
